CNY: Usher in Happiness and Wealth with Camaron Rebosado (No Egg)| Amrey’s Kitchen™

Published on 28 January 2025 at 21:30

One of the food items served during Chinese New Year Reunions is shrimp which symbolizes ‘happiness’. Spring rolls are also present as the shape and color resemble a gold bar symbolizing ‘wealth’. With this, why not combine the significance of the two by using shrimp and deep frying it to get that golden hue, ei? 'Happiness' and 'Wealth' all in one dish!

Most Chinese families are already enjoying their feast and playing games as they welcome the Lunar New Year with their families and loved ones. My kitchen is also cranking up the heat as I prepare for a mini-feast for my #bhooiz and me.

They’ll have chicken gizzard while I enjoy some crunchy, juicy, and delicious Camaron Rebosado with Tartar Sauce, some romaine lettuce, and blanched Philippine Cabbage aka pechay. I’d give any reason to partake in any festivities if it allows me to spend time in the kitchen and enjoy a good meal!

Usually, Camaron Rebosado is served with Sweet and Sour dip, but this is not set in stone and I love a good tartar sauce for any fried seafood!

Will you be celebrating the Lunar New Year too? If yes, I’m excited to see your CNY food spread on IG @amreyskitchen #cnyfood #cny #everydayisafeast. Of course, if you decide to give this Camaron Rebosado a go, I’d love to drool over your photos as well!

Let’s keep spreading Love with Amrey’s Kitchen™ recipes and creations!

Happy frying, lovelies! #mettalove
