One Pot Cooking: Ginger-Turmeric Rice | Amrey’s Kitchen™

Turmeric is touted for its medicinal properties. Classified as a warm food in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this golden orange rootcrop is often associated with digestive system, liver and gall bladder, skin, and auto-immune issues.

I am not much of a rice person, and more often than not, I prefer less processed rice like brown, black, or wild. However, whenever I want to be visually enticed, the fully husked white rice is the best choice since it can easily absorb all the colours of the ingredients you add to it.

With that said, I’ve always loved the heat and flavour of ginger. And as an advocate of #mindfuleating, knowing what’s in your food and letting food be thy medicine, it’s a no-brainer for this #WHooman to incorporate ginger and turmeric into most dishes I prepare.

This #quickandeasy to prepare #onepot rice dish is a good addition to your roster of #rice meals! You may add all the veggies and other ingredients you enjoy and no need to worry about unnecessary equipment to wash, clean, and dry. #conveniencecooking at its finest, indeed!

Let the heat heal you and the carbs energize you, lovelies! #mettalove
