Fries. One can’t get enough of this side. Especially if prepared and seasoned the way you want it! And no, this does not count as your serving of vegetables when having a balanced meal, albeit being a potato. Hah.

Although there are several varieties of potatoes used in cooking all over the world, I’m used to using marble potatoes aka creamer, Yukon gold, russet, and sweet potatoes that are conveniently sold in the markets I frequent. I usually use russet potatoes for frying, Yukon gold and marble potatoes for roasting, soups, and stews.

I’ve learned that double-frying the fries makes them crispier and more enjoyable. However, if you want to have a good serving right away, then you can just fry them once. I sometimes just fry once and pop them in the air-fryer for 3 minutes. This process is healthier as it removes the excess oil whilst making them crispier. #mindfuleating

How do you usually make your fries and what potato varieties do you often use in your dishes? Do share your photos on IG @amreyskitchen #amreyskitchen #amapolism #comfortfood if you happen to make this. Remember, sharing is loving.
